Background
We pursue three goals with the BEES halogen attachments and accessories:
glare protection, filtering, and decoration of miniature halogen lamps.
Our products are engineered and designed on the grounds of consequent
functionality, and are made of best materials for full customer satisfaction.
All attachments can be easily applied, adjusted and removed without tools.
Our standard attachments can be retrofitted to almost any accesible MR
16 or similar lamp. We also offer some other sizes, and make specials
upon inquiry.
Glare protection
All lamps with integrated reflectors can bundle only the backlight component
in the intended direction, while the direct component is spread in all directions.
This component cannot be focussed without using complex optical systems,
and is the main source of glare, and of reduced contrast. Our patented glare
protection attachments offer various solutions to the problem.
All halogen lamps emit a wide spectrum of light, from infrared to ultraviolet, depending on the type of lamp. In various cases, it may be necessary to limit the emitted spectrum. Generally, the unwanted component can either be absorbed or reflected away from the target area. Absorption filters maintain throughout uniform color, while dichroitic filters produce a slight color shift toward the perimeter. This effect gives store windows, restaurants, hallways etc. a subtle vividness and brilliance, and is preferred by many designers.
Decorative Attachments
We make decorative elements that interact with the lamp light actively. Colored crystal glass balls, or a variety of glass shields offer a superb material quality adequate to the brilliant halogen light.
